Another good day at the gym. I ran 5.31 miles. Everything was in rhythm. My main goal now is completing my 100 day project. So I don’t do any special training but running consistently – I vary the speed while I’m running though. It is like building a very sturdy foundation. I have been running 62 days and my cardiovascular endurance was improved a lot. I have 38 days to do more 🙂 I’m focusing more on my main goal but I should say I’m thinking about preparing for my first race of this year, too. 8K is about 5 miles. I have been running 5 miles these days so I shouldn’t have a problem doing that. I just need to do that more efficiently. Well.. after finishing my project, I will still have a month before the race day.
Running was easy today but driving back home wasn’t. I should’ve stayed on main roads. Side streets were not plowed yet and very slippery. I was driving really carefully but on the slippery road, you don’t know how other cars will react.
For their afternoon walk, I put doggy boots on Jeter and Cappy. This morning when we took them out, they both lifted their legs and didn’t want to walk. It was cold and the sidewalks were covered with salt. Their little paws were so cold. I think they knew it’s time for boots. This afternoon when I brought their boots, they kind of cooperated. They didn’t have any problem walking on the snow and salt with their boots on 🙂 I just had more work to take care of their doggy boots and socks after the walk.
